Homewood PTA

The Parent Teacher Association for Homewood School District 153

Where are “U” in PTA?  It’s more than just a slogan.  Studies show that children whose parents are involved in their education do better at school.  What better way to be involved, setting an example of community and school involvement for our children, than to join PTA?

There are a myriad of ways to help.  Some ways involve spending time at the school working directly with your children and their classmates.  Not your cup of tea?  There are also a plethora of ways to help that don’t involve classroom time or that are more suited to parents who work during the day.  Simply joining the PTA and paying the $10 family membership fee helps a lot!

Homewood Parent Teacher Association has been vital in providing funding for many district programs such as PBIS and school assemblies.  We have also provided services that you know and depend on such as Market Day, the annual book sale and school pictures and the PTA Calendar.  We provide direct assistance to classroom teachers in the form of classroom representatives, building representatives, Art Volunteers in the Classroom (AVIC), and classroom party volunteers.  Now, more than ever, it is even more important to continue this help.  We need you to continue this legacy.

Joining is easy.  Download and print the form from the link below.  You can send it with your fee to school with your child in an envelope marked “PTA Membership”.  Or visit with the VP of Membership, Kim Kapica, at any Open House.
